Moonpay has received a BitLicense and a money transmission license from New York regulators.

Gate News bot message, Moonpay USA has obtained the BitLicense and currency transfer license issued by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), allowing it to provide comprehensive fiat to Crypto Assets services for New York customers.

This milestone marks the completion of Moonpay's regulatory coverage in the United States, enabling it to directly serve customers in all 50 states. With this approval, Moonpay joins the ranks of the few Crypto Assets payment providers authorized to conduct virtual currency business in New York.

Moonpay also holds currency transfer licenses in 46 other U.S. jurisdictions and has expanded its international regulatory scope, including registrations in the UK, Australia, and Canada. Previously, Moonpay opened a new headquarters in New York City and achieved record financial performance in 2024.
