The Sudanese Armed Forces accused foreign mercenaries of attacking a city in western Sudan.

Jin10 reported on August 3 that the Sudanese Armed Forces issued a statement on the 3rd, stating that they repelled a large-scale attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, on the 1st and 2nd of this month. The statement said that the attack was organized by the Rapid Support Forces, but involved foreign mercenaries, most of whom were from Colombia. The Sudanese Armed Forces inflicted severe personnel and equipment losses on the opposing side. The Rapid Support Forces and the Colombian side have not responded to this.
