The number of dengue fever infections in Brazil in 2024 has reached a historical high in the country's epidemic records, three times the number of infections in 2023; the number of deaths from dengue fever has also reached a historical high, four times the number of deaths in 2023. The areas with the highest infection rates are the Federal Capital District, Minas Gerais, Parana, and Sao Paulo.
