On March 28, Jin10 reported that according to Semafor reporter Rohan Goswami, Nippon Steel and U.S. Steel are actively negotiating a deal to acquire U.S. Steel at a price of $55 per share, and will ensure additional investment in traditional operations. Sources said that to secure approval from the Trump administration, Nippon Steel plans to invest billions of dollars in building a blast furnace in Pennsylvania.
