## Mr. Haze's Target for This Year

Prominent cryptocurrency analyst Arthur Hayes announced his year-end price targets in a latest blog post on the 23rd. He presents a bullish forecast of $250,000 for Bitcoin and $10,000 for Ethereum, declaring that "the bullish market for Ethereum will sweep across the market."

Mr. Hayes had already changed his market outlook to bullish following the Bitcoin all-time high update on July 11. Shifting from his previous cautious analysis, he expressed, "Prepare for a fierce alt season," predicting the arrival of an Ethereum-led upward market.

Regarding investment strategies, Mr. Hayes revealed that the Maelstrom Fund he manages is executing a full bet. He focuses on "all speculation through Ethereum in general, all DeFi in general, and ERC-20 coins," seeking opportunities to outperform Bitcoin.

The core of his analysis lies in the credit expansion policy "QE4 Poor People" implemented by the Trump administration. He argues that government procurement guarantees enable banks to expand lending to key industries, and that credit creation under a "wartime economy" system pushes up cryptocurrency prices.

Regarding government procurement guarantees, the U.S. company MP Materials has cited an example of receiving procurement guarantees from the U.S. Department of Defense to construct a rare earth processing facility. This project secured $1 billion in financing, reflecting the Trump administration's policy to strengthen domestic production of strategic materials. It is analyzed that such credit expansion stimulates the overall economy and also encourages capital inflow into the cryptocurrency market.

He also mentioned the cryptocurrency policy of the Trump administration, evaluating the proposal to allow cryptocurrency investments in the 401k retirement system and the elimination of the cryptocurrency capital gains tax. These are expected to promote the inflow of cryptocurrency into the $8.7 trillion retirement asset market.

The expansion of the cryptocurrency market has also pointed out that stablecoin issuers are increasing their investments in short-term U.S. Treasury securities to support government debt. It is explained that for every 1 dollar increase in the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies, 0.09 dollars flow into stablecoins, which eventually becomes funding for the purchase of U.S. Treasuries.

Alt Season Index

As for the current progress of the altcoin season, the Altcoin Season Index on CoinMarketCap is at 41. When this index exceeds 75, it is defined as a "formal altcoin season" where altcoins lead the market, and there tends to be an acceleration in price increases. Former Binance CEO CZ also stated on the 23rd that "the FOMO season may be approaching soon," attracting market attention.

CoinMarketCap explains the FOMO phenomenon as an optimistic market sentiment driven by expectations of significant returns from altcoins. The increase in 24-hour trading volume across major cryptocurrencies indicates FOMO psychology, generating buying pressure and rising price momentum.
