CoinList has returned to the United States market for the first time since 2019, launching a token sale for the DoubleZero protocol of the DoubleZero Foundation.
The DoubleZero token called 2Z will be offered only to accredited investors in America. This is the first sale opened to American participants by CoinList after a five-year hiatus. The last sale was the Kadena token sale in 2019. CoinList President Scott Keto attributed their return to the U.S. market to the Trump administration's more favorable approach to the cryptocurrency industry. CoinList exited the U.S. market in late 2019 due to the aggressive regulatory policies of the Joe Biden administration.
Keto, praising the Trump administration's approach to the cryptocurrency industry, stated that they want America to lead innovation in this field. He also expressed that important regulations such as stablecoin legislation and market infrastructure laws are expected to pass soon in the U.S. These regulations could bring significant transparency to the sector and create new opportunities for investors and founders.
DoubleZero's token sale will take place on CoinList from April 2 to 22, and only validators from five blockchain ecosystems will be able to participate. These ecosystems include Solana, Sui, Aptos, Avalanche, and Celestia. DoubleZero aims to provide a more stable and reliable data transport layer to blockchain ecosystems.
There is no capital target for DoubleZero's token sale. A total of 10 billion 2Z tokens are available, of which %1.5 will be sold. The token sale will only be open to validators, and those wishing to participate will need to apply between April 2 and April 10. There will be a one-year lock-up period for American investors, while participants from other countries will have this period last for 40 days or until the mainnet is launched.
