The Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Paul Atkins, will deliver the opening speech titled "Tokenization: Moving Holdings on Chain: Where TradFi Meets DeFi" at the "Cryptocurrency Task Force Roundtable Meeting" event to be held on May 12, (Tomorrow).

Atkins' speech will focus on the intersection between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Representatives from financial giants such as Cynthia Lo Bessette from Fidelity, Eun Ah Choi from Nasdaq, Will Geyer from Invesco, and Robert Mitchnick, Head of Digital Holdings at BlackRock, will also be present at the event.

The day's program will start with the opening and welcome speeches at 20:00 Turkey time, (UTC+3). Following that, a session titled "The Evolution of Finance: Capital Markets 2.0" will be held between 21:00 and 22:30. The event will continue with a panel on "The Future of Tokenization" starting at 23:00.

A notable development before the event also came from BlackRock. The company, which is the world's largest asset manager, met with the SEC's Crypto Task Force on May 9 to discuss critical regulations concerning the digital asset sector. According to the minutes published by the SEC, BlackRock presented a five-item agenda regarding topics such as staking, tokenization, and the approval processes for exchange-traded products like (ETP).
