Unveiling the Hidden Rules of Web3: The Networks and Wealth Games Behind the Dream Factory

Abstract generation in progress

In the process of financing and development in the Web3 field, there are many undercurrents and complex relationships that are not well known. Many people enter this industry with naive ideas, believing that as long as they make good products and promote them, they will succeed. However, the reality is not that simple.

In this emerging field, networking and "choosing sides" are particularly important. Project parties need to recognize key figures in the industry, seek advisory support, and obtain institutional endorsements, among other things. These relationships often constrain each other, and choosing one party may mean giving up opportunities with another.

Although with the maturity of the industry, the factional disputes have eased somewhat, under the dominance of the giants, small players still need to band together to get a share of the pie. People tend to use various labels to quickly identify and assess projects, such as investors, issuance channels, and so on. These labels often contain brand premium and imaginative potential behind them.

Meme dissemination also follows a similar logic, relying on well-known figures or IPs to attract attention, and then spreading through various levels of disseminators. When enough influential people are discussing and profiting from it, the public will be attracted and start to follow suit.

The Web3 world seems like a dream factory, where people are constantly searching for the next opportunity. Although reason tells us to return to value, the desire for quick wealth always drives people to take risks repeatedly. The so-called opportunities we see may just be carefully crafted illusions by dream makers, while the wealth effect serves as bait to lure people in.

In this cyclical game, participants go through a process of doubt, excitement, and then disappointment. However, even when facing setbacks, many are still drawn to the next opportunity, diving back into this seemingly endless loop.
