Bitcoin core developers embroiled in controversy as Knots node count surges tenfold.

According to [Golden Finance], a group of developers responsible for managing the world's most popular Full Node software – Bitcoin Core – still insists that the "OP_RETURN dispute" of 2025 has been settled, and they are the winners of this dispute, while those with differing opinions are simply unserious individuals following the "country bumpkin leader."

The latest mocking actions of these developers include: giving the opposing camp a new nickname "Knotzis" and ridiculing a small flaw in the Bitcoin node software Knots.

Although its actual software's dominance in the Bitcoin network is constantly being weakened, they still revel in the joy of "victory." In fact, the number of users choosing to use Knots software due to opposition to the modifications of the OP_RETURN protocol by Bitcoin Core has increased tenfold this year — the number of nodes connected to the internet has risen from less than 400 to nearly 4,000.
