FTX founder SBF's prison sentence is expected to be shortened by 4 years.
According to Techub News, as reported by Business Insider, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for a $11 billion Crypto Assets fraud case, but the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) have now set his expected release date to December 14, 2044, meaning he will actually serve less than 21 years. According to prison regulations, inmates can earn a maximum of 54 days off their sentence per year for good behavior and can further reduce their time by participating in specific prison programs. SBF is currently incarcerated in the low-security prison FCI-Terminal Island in California, where it was previously confirmed that he transferred client funds to his hedge fund Alameda Research.
