Want to Make Back Money When Spot is Losing? Futures are Just a Path to Heavier Losses
I see many people have a very... naive mentality when they encounter losses in spot trading: losing a little, then immediately jumping to futures with the thinking that they will "recover" the loss there. In reality, this is completely illogical. Use a bit of common sense: are futures easier than spot? In my opinion, futures are 10 times harder than spot. It requires higher skills, stricter discipline, and most importantly, the ability to control emotions very well. If you are having difficulty making profits in spot trading and are incurring losses there, then it is highly likely that when jumping to futures, you are only doubling your risks. Leverage will quickly turn a loss into a heavier loss. This is not a way to "save" from losses. Instead, do things that are truly effective: Stop and self-reflect on the issue. Are you losing because your trading strategy does not fit the current market conditions? Are you not managing your capital well? Or are emotions influencing your decisions? Control your emotions. This is the main reason leading to most losses. People cannot bear the feeling of loss, leading to hasty behavior to "get their money back." As a result, they lose even more, sometimes significantly more. Address losses mentally first. Learn to accept losses. Understand the real reasons behind your losses. Only when your mindset is stable can you trade again rationally. Trading is not a revenge against the market. It is not a place to "recover losses" at all costs. Trading is about discipline and patience. Understanding this, you will reduce a lot of risks and get closer to earning stable profits. Remember: Don't let emotions dictate actions. Control your emotions first, the right strategy will follow, and profits will come naturally.
