The EU reiterates its warning against tariff retaliation, and trade officials from the US and Europe may meet on Wednesday.

ChainCatcher News: According to Golden Ten, an EU spokesperson said that the EU has sent a technical team to Washington to conduct trade talks with the Trump administration. Earlier, the European Union warned that Trump's increase in steel tariffs to 50% could jeopardize negotiations between the two sides and trigger retaliatory tariffs on American goods. The EU spokesperson reiterated that if the negotiations do not yield a balanced outcome, the EU will take countermeasures. EU Trade Commissioner Šefčovič is expected to meet with US Trade Representative Tai in Paris on Wednesday.
